After auditing materials with business leadership, outlining communication pain points in client relationships, determining business objectives, and mapping client conversation aims to those objectives, I was given a task:
Establish, apply, & maintain a consistent corporate image across all client-facing materials
Materials built by a team of non-designers
Client stakeholders are encouraged to open working document, alter or add slides as needed throughout deck creation
Decks are always “Frankensteined” together and often recycle slides preferred by seller owning client relationship
Content needs to be tailored for the individual client
The time teams have between RFP (request for proposal) and material deadline to the agency can range between two weeks to two days
Agencies often have their own set of file requirements or preferences that increase chances of conversation moving forward
Collaborated with senior leadership on Slate’s overarching market-facing story, which established both the tone and art direction of material overhaul.
Project completed in tandem with finalizing the overall system’s style guide and methodology.
Deck is designed and built in Keynote to ensure efficiency in day-to-day use across sales support teams. All slides are designed to be tailored by non-designers: images are masked placeholders, colors & fonts are embedded, data is visualized with graphing tools, etc.
After discovering sales support teams had no clarity on what their task needed to do for the company, the head of sales and myself developed a “b2b sales communication wheel”
Deck library was built without master page layouts but instead simply-branded blank masters, with dynamic content sitting on top
Content styles were hard-coded into Keynote themes that teams downloaded on their machines
Teams were trained on qualifying communication goals and basic visual communication skills
Library consisted of core narratives that aligned with each communication touchpoint on the wheel, tailorable through supporting content decks designed to be cherrypicked from.
